4. Schedule Required Family Interview

Go to connect page to fill out the form to schedule a visit

Every family should both tour and observe the school. Students wishing to apply to the elementary or secondary programs must visit MMS for at least a half-day. We will pair you with a current student so you can attend classes and participate in the daily life of the school. During your visit you will also have an interview with a member of the admission team during which we will engage in a conversation with you about your current school, why you want to attend MMS and how you like to spend your spare time. The interview is informal, but is an integral part of the admission process.

5. Review process

This section includes decision notification dates and waitlist information

Decision Notification Dates
Students are admitted throughout the year to the early childhood programs, although we strongly urge new families join us in the fall.

Re-enrollment begins for MMS elementary and secondary students in February and is open to the public after March 15. Admission is on a rolling basis based on availability.

Waitlist
After the initial February deadline, the Admission Office continues to process applications and mail decisions for each level until it is fully enrolled. There are waiting lists for some programs.  Throughout the summer we may offer admission to students from that list.

Scholarship & Affordability

We have four different affordability options below for tuition, and one option for middle and high school travel expenses.

Need-based Tuition Assistance

MMS offers need-based tuition assistance to families who qualify. Scholarships are granted to families who:

Demonstrate financial need

Demonstrate a long-term commitment to MMS

Meet academic requirements

Meet additional requirements as set forth in the individual scholarship guidelines.

Current families enrolled in our programs apply for a scholarship at the time of re-enrollment. All applications are submitted to a third-party source (electronically), which shares with MMS the amount of tuition assistance the family qualifies to receive. The family bears the cost of submitting the application.

Families new to our programs who wish to qualify for scholarship assistance follow the same procedure at the time of their enrollment.

Scholarships are awarded first to qualifying families who are currently enrolled in our programs. Additional awards are granted on the basis of availability.

  • Scholarship recipients must participate in the Annual Fund.
  • Scholarship recipients are responsible for all supply fees.
  • Scholarship recipients with an outstanding account balance will not be granted a new scholarship until all ledger charges have been paid.

For more information on need-based tuition assistance, please contact the Business Office.

Head of School Scholarship

Head of School Scholarship (HOSS) is awarded on an annual basis each spring for the following academic year. The Scholarship covers the cost of tuition only; it does not include the annual gift, supply fees, travel costs, college classes, and/or textbook fees.

Students who have already been enrolled at MMS and have a history of commitment to the school are given first consideration; however applications are open to the community. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Application for the HOSS is made during the spring of each year and/or during admission process. Evidence of high academic and/or artistic achievement must be demonstrated through testing, grades, and/or portfolio work. Recommendations from teachers or other members of the community (non relatives) are required. MMS may choose to administer additional tests. An interview for both the student and parent(s) is required.

Applicants are reviewed by a three-member committee composed of the HOS, the Business Manager, and a member of the Board of Trustees

The HOSS is awarded to the most deserving student both academically and financially. MMS is committed to supporting diversity.

  • HOSS recipients must participate in the Annual Fund Giving.
  • HOSS recipients are responsible for all supply fees.
  • HOSS recipients are not be eligible to apply for the scholarship unless all ledger charges have been paid.

Helga Hopps Travel Scholarship

Mrs. Helga Hopps loved to travel. She made sure her daughter saw much of the world, and the two of them had many adventures in Europe, North Africa, and South America.  These experiences made an indelible impression on Carin, who hopes that travel is possible for all students at Meadow Montessori School.  A scholarship fund was created in her honor and memory. Each year, Meadow Montessori selects a student who demonstrates financial need, as well as commitment to the school and to fundraising, to receive this scholarship to help the student meet their travel expenses.

Awarded scholarship will be paid directly to the service provider for travel expenses, not to the student.

  • Applicant must be a current student and demonstrate financial need
