Cindy Taylor is a retired public school educator. Cindy grew up in Allen Park. Upon graduation from MSU with a degree in Elementary Education, Cindy began her teaching career in Dearborn Heights. After twenty years of successful teaching at the upper elementary and middle school levels, she became an elementary principal. After five years in that position, she completed her career serving as the principal of Grosse Ile Middle School for seven years. Cindy has two masters’ degrees from EMU in education: Reading and Educational Leadership.
Cindy lives in Monroe, and was married to Dave Taylor, former superintendent of Monroe Public Schools. Sadly, Dave passed away in 2011.
Continuing her belief in life-long learning, Cindy is currently taking art classes at MCCC and spends many hours reading and creating jewelry.
