Marian Rey McIntyre

Marian Rey McIntyre was raised in Monroe. She attended Kingswood School Cranbrook (now Cranbrook Kingswood) as a boarder for high school. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Economics and with a concentration in French. She also holds two Masters of Arts from the University of Michigan School of Education. She lived for many years in southwest Virginia where she created and ran a children's summer day camp, taught peer mediation in the public school, and worked in development for The Nature Conservancy of Virginia in Charlottesville. After returning to Michigan she has volunteered as a French teacher for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds at Dearborn Montessori Academy and Birmingham Community Montessori.

Marian Rey is married to David Griffiths. They have three children--Hattie (14), Lane (11), and Sam (7). They live in Bloomfield Hills.
