Leah Foster

Leah was first introduced to the Montessori method in 1996. As a Monroe High School student she was first employed as an ETC (extended time care) assistant and then as an assistant in the toddler house in 1998.

Leah left MMS in 1999 to attend Eastern Michigan University and majored in Elementary Education.  During this time she worked as an inclusion aid for Ann Arbor Public Schools and a preschool, kindergarten, and resource teacher at Gretchen’s House early childhood centers in Ann Arbor.

In 2004, Miss Leah moved to Chicago, Illinois to work as a nanny. She loved the opportunity to nurture growth and learning in close relation with several families.  Leah recently moved back to her hometown of Monroe and is delighted to return to the staff of Meadow Montessori.  Even better is being the parent of a daughter in the Toddler House.

Leah’s interests include playing with her daughter, enjoying the great outdoors, music, and making pottery.
