Lorna Ansel

Ms. Lorna has been with MMS since 1994, completing her Montessori Assistance Training at the Adrian Dominican Montessori Teaching Center in 1995. In her years at MMS, Lorna has worked in the Children's House West, Children's House East, and the former Children's House South.

Lorna is a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, graduating from St. Mary's Academy. She attended Monroe County Community College and graduated from the Ann Arbor School of Nursing in 1971. She worked as a doctor's assistant and on the medical surgical floor at Memorial Hospital for several years. Ms. Lorna takes continuing education classes to keep her license current.

Lorna and her husband, Mike, have six children and ten grandchildren. Mike is retired, after 37 years as a skilled tradesman at Ford Motor Company. Mike and Lorna are enjoying the grandparenting stage of their lives. Miss Lorna also enjoys reading, bird-watching, and trips up north.
