Emilie LaRoux

Until this spring, Emilie and daughter, Lydia, were involved in home schooling.  It was a good four years, but Emilie felt that as a sixth grader Lydia would need more educationally, so they decided to become a part of Meadow Montessori - with Lydia becoming a member of Intermediate West and with Emilie working with Charise Howard as an assistant in the Toddler House.  They are happy we made the change!
 
In the past, Emilie has been a music teacher in public and parochial schools, teaching elementary vocal music, band, and choir.  She still loves to play the clarinet, and she is currently has five clarinet students at Meadow Montessori.  Twenty years ago she was also a toddler teacher assistant at a Montessori school near St. Louis, MO, so working at MMS feels like a good fit.
